What Lovely Weather!

What Lovely Weather!

My view from my window (paw-lease don’t stalk me!) – I send love to all poor piggies outside in these wet and windy conditions!
Gusts are apparently going to reach 100mph tonight :O
My piggies are in the garage, safe and sound. I’m going to go and visit them soon ๐Ÿ™‚

Guinea Pig Show results!

Bonsoir efurryone!
Bumble the Brilliant reporting for duty!

Toffee, Peppi and the one and only me were entered…and I did the best! Seriously… ^_^

There were 2 different shows running, the Southern and the Wyevern. The Wyvern judge didn’t like me very much, or Peppi or Toffee, but she liked Star, one of Maria’s piggies, very much! ^_^

The sad thing is that the Wyevern rosettes were wayyyy cooler so Star got the good rosettes whilst I was stuck with the tacky ones. WHEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK! (indignant cry)

So, I know you’re all bursting to hear which rosettes I won!

But I’ll have to tell you about Peppi and Toffee first, save the best till last (that’s me, in case you didn’t get it ^_^)

Peppi did well, she came third out of all the adult pets which is pawsome! She was nearly in the Top 6, but bepaws she came third and not second or first, she missed out ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Usually the judges put longhaired piggies before short hairs, as the top 2 adults were smooth, but humph, no she didn’t! Mummy was still proud of her, but not as proud as she was of me (obviously ^_^)

She won some firsts in Juvenile Owned Adult Sow and stuff, but when it came down to the TOP 3 (!) she came third. Ah well, it doesn’t stop her being the pawsomest pig ever to exist (apart from me and my best piggie friend Willow, of course ^_^)

Toffee got marked down for having dusty ears, it’s her fault for rolling in the hay and straw ๐Ÿ˜› Mummy was a little bit annoyed because the judge wrote down that she (mummy) ‘had missed a few claws’ (as in ‘missed them out whilst clipping them’) when in actual fact mummy just cut of the very ends because she hates cutting claws, especially brown or black ones (Toffee’s are brown, thank goodness I have 2 white stockings! ^_^).

She got best crested Adult Sow (she was the only one, hehehe) but that was it ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

But now MEEEEEEE!

I got best J/O (juvenile owned) rough U5 (months) Sow, Best J/O Rough U5 sow/boar, Best J/O Rough A/A (all ages) Sow, Best J/O Rough A/A Sow/Boar, Best Rough U5, BEST JUVENILE OWNED PET (!), and then 3rd OVERALL out of all of the pets! I’m only 5 months old! The judges said, in these exact words, ‘She’s going to be quite a stunner when she’s older.’ And the only reason I didn’t get Best Pet was because ‘I still have time to grow.’ Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I might have got more but that’s just off the top of my head. ^_^ I got rosettes for the last two mentioned! Mummy gave me big cuddles when we got home. The judge also said to mummy that the reason I did some well was because of all of the love and cuddles I’m given. I lurvveee you mummy!

(please note, all of the aforementioned awards were all in the Pet section, I just couldn’t be bothered to write ‘Pet’ every time ^_^ Lazy me!!)

Happy Saturday

Toffee Blogs-Moody Monday!

Me looking fabulous :)

Me looking fabulous ๐Ÿ™‚

As you guys in da UK probably have noticed, it is very wet and rainy. Peppi is sneezing, which is worrying me a little bit. My hooman, Natty, gave me cuddles today which made me very happy. He also gave me some cucumber which was very yummy! My mummy hooman, Bella (who whee believe is Natty’s sister) gave us all cuddles and cucumber as well, especially Willow which was unfair because Bella said she was very nervous. Me and Peppi wheeked as loud as we could to alert the hooman that we wanted Cucumber too!

Willow was very happy once she was out of the cage, and snuggled down, but she gets a bit scared being gotten out. Me and Peppi are stars though, wheeย loveย being gotten out!

Bumble wouldn’t stop wheeeking until Bella got her out, and then she wheeked because she’s missing Willow, her buddy, very much whilst Willow is with Hunky. Then the hooman got Skye out, who was very happy to see her, and has made lots of improvement since the hooman adopted her 2 weeks ago! She is very cuddly and snuggly and she eats from Bella’s hand! Willow is a bit nervous doing this, but she does sometimes and I’m using hutchagoodlife’s tips to tame her a little more so she isn’t so wary of the hoomans.

Now about MEEEEEEE! I am going to a show on Saturday, and Iย knowย I will do very well. The hooman is very good at getting us ready, and then it’s down to our pigsonalities once they’ve approved of our physique! The ideal pig is…a BFP.

B-ย Big (Big Boned, chubby, whatever you want to call us portly pigs)

F– Friendly

P- Pig!

Hunky’s mummy was a BFP many a time, I have been it once and Peppi has come 2nd and 3rd before. The other girlies have only been to one show each (although Skye hasn’t yet, and won’t be going to this one) and although Bumble did fabulously, she will do much better once she’s bigger!

I can’t remember today’s dinner, it was very yummy though, and whee all loved it! Mummy didn’t take a picture either, which is very annoying. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I love my hoomans though, they’re the best!

Humph!

I sent the pigtures again today, along with a pigture of today’s menu, but once again it didn’t work! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

I am very irritated and the clan’s whiskers are all shaking with controlled anger! They want to be on the blog!

Anyway, I will edit the pigture of the menu into the post… and here is today’s menu!

WEDNESDAY’S MENU

Carrot Peelings + A little bit of carrot with stalk ๐Ÿ˜‰

Greens

Celery (Bumble wheeeeeeks with joy and popcorns into the air!)

Corn on the Cob (Skye wheeeeeeeeeks even louder with joy than Bumble!) – very good for piggy teeth too!

Corn on the Cob leaves- we get these with our Corn on the Cobs!

(we get lots of our veggies cheap from a grocery store in Nailsworth that does an ‘animal section’ where they sell slightly defective veggies -suitable for animals- very cheap! We got the greens from here too. Everything is only 50p! We got some cucumber from here which was a slightly different shade of green, which is a good example of a defective veggie!)

As usual, on the menu was also Excel Tasty Nuggets, fresh hay and water! Today was too wet for grass, but yesterday I picked some grass for the piggies. Usually we put them out, but at the moment it’s a bit wet and windy for them!

Lots of love from me and the piggies,

Bella, Peppi, Toffee, Willow, Bumble and Hunky (until the 25th)

xxxx + piggy hugs!

Being pro-active more than once a wheek!

Hello all!

I have been very busy with another blog and school, but from now on I will try and do a small post every day. Obviously some days I won’t manage this, but hopefully 6 times a wheek (ish) will be sufficient!

I have been reading @hutchagoodlife’s posts every day and love the style they write in, so have been using it a little bit here and will use it in some ‘piggy perspective’ posts!

The clan send their love from the garage!

I have been taking some pigtures today of my beautiful piggies munching on their dinner, but they don’t seem to have sent from the iPhone to here, only the pigture of the big bowl of veggies whee prepared for them seems to have shown up!

Anyway, today’s menu…

TUESDAY’S MENU

Lots of Greens!

Carrot Tops (the green leafy bits- wheeek!!!! Yummy scrummy)

Carrot Peelings (om nom)

Broccoli Stalks

Here is the pigture of our big bowl of veggies!

The piggies say ‘Whee always squeak when mummy brings in din-dins! ‘

Om nom nom!

Also I have big news on the guinea pig front:

I adopted a friend’s guinea pig who hadn’t really been looked after very well, she had very bad mites and had been fed on hamster food, among other things. However, I have adopted her and although she has been hostile towards the other piggies, she is a lovely little teddy and all of her mites are gone! She is now being fed on lots of veggies (of course) and Excel Tasty Nuggets, as well as lots of Hay and and of course water to drink!
She is settling in very well and regaining her confidence.

Another big piece of news is I am breeding Willow again with a stunningly handsome little boy called Hunka Munka. He is a great pet show-pig too!

His mummy had best pet in show (out of 88 I think, wowee!), best of breed and lots of other big rosettes! He is a lovely Black rough-coat with a lot of attitude!

I’m sure that black/golden agouti babies will pop out of Willow, which will be very beautiful!

I have pigtures of Skye (the adopted friendly pig) and Hunky (the handsome boar) on the iPhone but I won’t be able to post them here till tomorrow…But I p-aw-romise I will!

Lots of love from me and the Piggy Clan,

Bella ๐Ÿ™‚
